Campus Environment

The lush green campus of the University is spread over an area of 120 acres, on Manmad – Nashik State Highway. The campus is beautifully planned and landscaped from utility and aesthetic point of view. The spacious environment has earned the distinction of being one of the best medical complexes in the country.
The well-laid out University campus has spacious asphalted roads, gardens, children’s parks, social and health clubs, water treatment plants, underground drainage, well illuminated street lights, moderately furnished residential quarters with intercom telephone and internet facility and uninterrupted power and water supply for the teaching and non-teaching staff and utility complex.
An ancient temple of Hindu Goddess “Durga” located within the University Campus on a natural hillock with dense vegetation around is a spot of attraction for both students and staff. Horticulture garden with trees like Mango, Coconut, Guava, Pomegranate across the campus, adds beauty to the pollution free environment. The International Students Cell:
The International Students Cell will provide necessary guidance for admission. All correspondence relating to international students admission should be addressed to the Office of International relations of the Institution. int.coordinator@pmtpims.org

Seat Distribution: 15 % seats of each course are allocated in this category.
International Students:

  1. Foreign students: Students holding passports issued by foreign countries including people of Indian origin who have acquired the nationality of foreign countries.
  2. Non Resident Indians (NRI): Only those Non Resident Indian students who have studied and passed the qualifying examinations from schools or colleges in foreign countries will be included as international students. This will include the students studying in the schools or colleges situated in foreign countries even if affiliated to the Boards of Secondary Education or Universities located in India, but will not include students studying in those schools or colleges (situated in India) and affiliated to the Boards of Secondary Education or Universities of foreign countries. Students passing the qualifying examinations from Boards or Universities located in foreign countries as external students and dependants of NRI studying in India will not merit the status of international students. Department of Surgery – Rural Medical College

Vision & Mission
This department aims to provide proper direction, requisite training and the correct attitude to all those who have taken upon themselves the onus of tending to the sick and wounded in various types of calamities including accidents.
Impress upon them the enormous responsibility that is consequent of the patient, rural & urban, consenting to go under one’s knife.
It also strives to provide an intellectually stimulating environment to motivate and inspire students of surgery at all levels in their quest for knowledge and to enable them to realize their potential to the fullest extent, and serve the community with holistic approach also.
Departmental Activity
Department is actively involved in teaching, patient care, research, CME Organisation. Eminent dignitaries have visited the institution and surgery department.

Operation theatres:
2 Major, 1 Septic and 1 Minor. (Total- 4)
Surgery operation theatre has digital video camera for recording of operations and students can see them live. This prevents unnecessary crowding in operating room. These recording are then edited and kept in ECMC & departmental library for teaching.For More Details…

Introduction
Department of medicine is a major department of RMC Loni. It has important functions of indoor and outdoor patient care, teaching of undergraduate & postgraduate students, medical research & health education of masses. Undergraduate education was started in 1984& Post graduation in medicine was started in 1991.
Since its establishment in 1984 it has been training medical students and has thus produced excellent medical care givers for the country. Till date 49 postgraduate students have passed from the department.
Mission

To encourage development of an attitude of compassion and empathy for human suffering, to create an academic atmosphere conducive to assimilation of scientific knowledge, and to encourage logical application of the knowledge to ameliorate the suffering of society.

Department Highlights
The department is well equipped with teaching &learning resources as per the guidelines of Medical Council of India for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses that are being conducted. We are placed at spacious opd complex on the ground floor. Historical Background
The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical care was established in the year 1984.Now it is part of the Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University). Many developments have changed the life of the department of Anesthesiology. This service specialty not only has changed its appearance from a technology to a full- fledged science of Anesthesiology, but also is almost on the threshold of branching into subspecialties. It has progressed from a very small department to one of the biggest departments.
Introduction
The Department of Anesthesiology forms a key link between surgical team and the patients undergoing surgical procedures. The role of anesthesiologists is becoming more and more challenging with rising of life expectancy and technological advances in surgical field.
A dedicated team of 12 consultants are ably assisted by tutors and residents. Anesthesiologists have crossed the confines of O.T to grow as Intensivists, Pain Specialists, and Resuscitation specialists/ Triage experts in casualty/ ICU and to provide service in Radio-diagnosis, Cardiac catheterization laboratories, Electro-Convulsive therapy, Narco-Analysis, Radio-therapy, Respiratory therapy units.

Department of Preventive & Social Medicine

Introduction:
Department of Preventive and Social Medicine was started in 1984 in Rural Medical College.
The department is involved in teaching, research and extension activities.
Goal:
To prepare students as competent first level physicians suited to cater need of community in Indian context.
Mission Statement:

  1. Empowering the students with knowledge, skills & positive attitude to work as first level contact physicians.

Rural Medical College Loni was established in the year 1984. The department of pharmacology initiated its teaching activities one and half year later.

The department caters services to undergraduates of Medicine, Dentistry, Physiotherapy & Nursing faculty.
In addition to services for undergraduates department of pharmacology also shoulders the responsibility of teaching and training postgraduate students of pharmacology.
The department is actively involved in need based research in the applied pharmacology and therapeutics.
